Green Energy
Green energy is clean, efficient and/or renewable energy such as
solar energy,
wind,
biomass,
wave,
geothermal
- pretty much every button you see to the left. However, the word "green" itself refers to a number of positive things for the world. Such as
Carbon Offsets
and other programs.
Green types of power generation are: cogeneration, fuel cell, geothermal, renewable energy, small hydro, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and wind energy as well as energy storage devices such as batteries, flywheels, and pumped storage. Fuel energy includes: biodiesel, biomass, ethanol, hydrogen, methane, methanol, natural gas, propane, proprietary fuels and waste-to-energy. Green vehicles: electric, fuel cell, hybrid, and associated power-train and materials technologies for cars, trucks, buses, scooters and marine vessels. Green buildings incorporate ground source/geothermal heating, lighting and solar thermal heating, and conventional efficient HVAC.
As Kermit said "it's not easy being green" but it's definitely a better way for today and tomorrow.
