Energy Conservation Tips

Energy conservation tips for heating and cooling your home! Don't forget the biggest drop in spending will be solar heaters and solar air conditioners, but a great start are the tips below!

  • The thermostat should be set as low as you can go in the winter and as high as as you can without melting in the summer.
  • Filters on furnaces need to be cleaned or replaced at least once a month.
  • All the Vents on the floor and walls need to be cleaned regularly and keep them unblocked by couches, drapes, and beds.
  • When your done cooking remember to turn off the fan above the oven. The same goes for the fan in the bathroom
  • Your curtains are great heating and cooling devices. Keep them open during the winter to let in the direct sunlight and closed during the summer to keep it out.
